Lullabies

I am starting to hate Brahms. I thought his Hungarian Rhapsody was a somewhat average piece. I was wrong. Dead wrong. I've been practicing the first two pages for two weeks and so far, no material improvement. I should have chosen Leybach's Nocturne instead. Too late to change now. My teacher and I were excited at first to nail that piece. Now, she's excited, I'm frustrated.

Finally, we finished our report in BA 164 (Negotiable Instruments Law, Insurance Law). Tanggal ang isang tinik sa lalamunan. It seems that our professor is not that interested in our report. I think he opts to discuss GMA's SONA and his law school adventures with us. We were supposed to have a quiz but we overruled him. The power of saying "NO".

Two cases to go this week. I am multi-tasking again. I am blogging and also doing my part for Marketing. At TAJA pa pala bukas. I have to be in school by 8:30am. Rawr.

TAJA= Total Approach to JOb Application. An event by UP Career Assistance Program CBA-SE

Due to blogging, my "leisure online time", has doubled. Before, I used to check Friendster, email et al under 30 minutes. Now, my online leisure time is more than an hour. Blogsurfing can really take time, and blogging, takes even more time. I find myself staring at Blogger's compose page for quite some time. Ah, fruitless internet hours.

Young Writers Club

During my 3 elementary years in SMCQC, I was part of the Young Writers Club. One club during those three years. I don't recall who or what influenced me, but I did join anyway - and I stayed. When I was in grade 6, I had the privilege to become the Editor-in-Chief. Haha.

I was a pathetic EIC. I was only able to release one issue of “The Marian” (name of our newsletter). When I joined, it was customary just to release one issue for the whole year (what you read at the end of the year is not “news” anymore). But the EIC before me had the talents to release 3 issues. Now compared to that, I was pathetic.

During my entrance interview for high school, I said that I wanted to be a journalist (Ms. Liscano interviewed me). The school paper was ruled by the special science people. I did not pursue my writing career.

So there’s my writing experience history. I hope this blog will drive me to resume and fully utilize my writing abilities.

Exposition

Blogs. Online Diaries.

A few years back, I asked a pro-blogger friend what is the sense of having blogs. If blogs are supposed to contain private thoughts and feelings, then why would you post it for the world to read? Shouldn’t these thoughts remain private?

But then, blogs can be more than online diaries. They may contain a writer’s creation, a masterpiece. Creations that deserve attention. Creations that should be shared to others.

Moreover, there’s this longing to share whatever you write to people who are willing to read your posts. Since I am not a vocally expressive person, a blog is an appropriate tool to share my joy, angst and frustrations.

Of course, I can finally comment on my fellow bloggers’ entries. My comments are now not limited to a chatterbox comment.

With these, I now begin my life as a blogger. :)
