Notes in Finex

The theory was proven right.
Winning the FINEX is inversely proportional to winning the UAAP Cheering Competition.
Ok, so this is the only the second time this happened.
So it's not really a theory.
A semi-theory maybe, or a theory in the making.

Anyway.

The Highlights:

Round 1:

UP's Answer: B, Ateneo's Answer: C

Mak: *insert his point here*

Board of Judges: yes, yes (nod, nod)
Mak: *expounds his point more*
Judge: Hmmmm
Atenean Guy (arrogantly): But , so C is an incorrect answer!
Mak (Cool and Humble): But , isn't that right sir?
-----moments of tense silence------
Go Mak!

Board of Judges: The question is voided.

YAY!!!!

Round 2:

Question: Something about ROE and Leases, True-or-False question type
UP and Ateneo's Answer: B, UST and DLSU's answer: C
Atenean Guy (same as above): According to the Financial ...Book by ...., chapter something, the *blah blah*
Judge: But blah blah
Atenean Guy: *reiterates his point*
Judge: blah blah
Mak makes his presence known again.
Mak: Yes, I agree with him.
Laughter
Mak: We read the same book. I think that was in Chapter 11, right?
Hands the text to the Board of Judges. BOD reads the text.
Judge: The chapter you read only deals with blah blah. Thus, the answer is still C.

UP professors challenges the decision.
Sir Peds reasons out.

Sir Peds and Sir Jude Doliente in action.

Sir Peds:
Judge: Yes, I agree that we can prove that arithmetically, but blah blah.
Sir Peds: *explains explains*
Judge: However, that is in theory, bsaed from the text you read. The decision of
the BOJ still remains.
Crowd questions the reason for the decision of the BOD.
JUdge: Because in practice....

Ay, CHE! -.-

Timer: 5,4,3,2,1....raise your answers.
UP's Answer: B (LIFO), Ateneo, DLSU-Manila, and UST's Answer: D (No Effect)
Mam Dani Salazar: *covers her face*
Sir Peds: *stiff with tension*
Quizmaster: And the answer is...B
UP: WAHOOOOO!!!! (a warm of applause ---yes, a warm of applause :P)

Ending round 2 with three questions ahead of UST.

Announcer: We'll now take a Lunchbreak. According to my Patek Phillip watch, it is now 1:50.

PATEK PHILLIP! Go Sir Clemente!

Round 3 Quizmaster:

I just noticed that the judges defended their answer, twice, by reasoning: "But
in practice..." Ohcomeon. As said by Quizmaster 3: "We have 50 theoretical Questions." It's a contest in Finance.
Theoretical questions have theoretical answers.

Mak, da poste. Four rounds! Wohooooo! Ang tindeeeeee!
Naks, proud si Germee. XD

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Three more weeks, then this semester is over. Schoolwork is piling up: Marketing Proposal, Reaction papers, Outsourcing paper. I need my barbs powers again.

5555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555

What's the answer to this question in an interview: What is your greatest achievement? It took me about seven long agonizing seconds to think aboout this, realize that there is none, then come up with a nambobola answer. I need to come up with a more specific answer.

I'm proud I've gone this far (without using drugs, killing people, getting pregnant, bribing teachers, resorting to suicide, harhar XD). That's it. There's no particular event I consider as my greatest achievement. But of course, that's not what the interviewer wants to hear. My greatest achievement should be something about my leadership or intellectual skills. I need to come up with a specific answer to that question. And I have one semester (hopefully one semester) to come up with an answer.

Griffin

A formidable creature half lion and half eagle, the griffin is said to be one thousand times stronger than any lion and five thousand times as farsighted as an eagle. Humans find themselves unable to lie while in a Griffin's presence. The griffin is also said to be fierce and untamed. It was a protector against evil and people often wore talismans of a griffin's claw to protect them from demons. Griffins were often used as transport for the gods. They were also reputed to swoop down from the mountains on occasion and pick up goats and small horses and bring them back to their nests for their young.

What mythical beast best represents you?Take the quiz!

Unable to lie in my presence? Really now.

A half lion. Well, after all, my zodiac sign's Leo.
